Please help my bruised ego and share with me the most embarrassing thing you've done on a shoot!

I had a shoot last night in the snow and to get the perfect shot I jumped this little barrier and fell flat on my butt. In front of my clients AND everyone at the restaurant we were in front of AND the people on the street. I am sooo embarrassed! Not to mention I really hurt my ankle!!!!

So please tell me what you've done to embarrass yourself on a shoot!

Do you mean something other than leaving your fly undone, or something other than trailing a length of toilet tissue stuck on one's shoe, but something photographic?!

Well, I will NEVER order black beans for lunch again during a shoot.

Well one time someone mentioned that they knew one guy and his name sounded fairly familiar so I said I knew him too. For about 10 minutes we were talking about a story about him doing something or a bunch of guys and that guy going out together...then about 15 minutes in I realized I knew someone else, not the guy being talked about, and when asked if I had any funny stories like that of the chracter in question I had to admit "Ah....I take it back that wasn't the guy I was thinking of at all"

Back when I was only 2-3 months into photography, I was shooting a friend's wedding for fun (not as a photographer, but just a hobbyist) and being a real newb as I was, I didn't charge my batteries in my flash unit fully and the batteries died on me while I was just about to shoot a group of people who were posing. It was at the reception and so poorly lit that focus wouldn't lock and I didn't have a pop-up flash either (1D MarkII).
So I pretended to to shoot and saying things like, "great! OK, one more" just to sound believeable (dunno why I did THAT!) and was about to skoot away and put my gear away for the night when a whole bunch of them come rushing over to see how they came out.
I was caught RED HANDED...

You should have said it was a hybrid film/digital - new thing. And you were trying the film part out so couldn't show them anything ;)

Milla, you and I can be the "Klutz Bunch" Last Friday after shooting a playoff football game, I came out of the gate in a hurry to get a 20x30 print for one of the players. I stepped off the curb, catching my heel on the edge of said curb, falling flat on my face on the concrete. I could really laugh " NOW " except it hurts my sore ribs too much. My 50D and my 24/70 2.8 L, is at Canon getting fixed.

SO FAR nothing embarassing has happened to me, but I'm sure it will!

Reminds me of a guy I know who got married. Their photographer was using 2 cameras and dropped one of them during the ceromony, it made a loud "bang" when it hit the floor (loud enough to be noticed I guess) but the gear was not damaged.

Oh good, because I have neither of those things to report! :)

My most embarrassing time was when I was twelve, on vacation with my parents on Catalina Island. My father asked me if the camera was loaded with film, and being the typical teen I replied "Of course!", thinking my father to be very foolish to ask me that question. Later that day, I discovered to my chagrin in the presence of my father that the roll would advance PAST the number of exposures that the roll was supposed to have -- because there wasn't film in the camera!
