Finally got some free time for these. I'm having issues with getting proper WB and exposure on this set, so any opinions on this will be helpful. My original edits led to pictures that were too cool, but I think I may have warmed them too much. Full set on my Flickr (external link).

1. Stanford's Ali Riley becomes entangled with UNC's Lucy Bronze while pursuing the ball.

2. UNC forward Sterline Smith moves Stanford's Camille Levin out of the way of her pursuit of the ball.

3. Lindsay Taylor of Stanford gets past Tobin Heath of UNC.

4a. Kelley O'Hara sits alone on the Stanford bench following her ejection during the 73rd minute of the championship match. This was a huge moment in the game, as O'Hara was named National Player of the Year by several groups.

4b. Same picture, but I decided to play around with some LR presets and convert this to B&W. Just wanted to see if this worked for anyone.

5. Meghan Klingenberg and Rachel Givan of North Carolina hug following the team's 1-0 victory.

6. North Carolina players hoist the NCAA championship trophy.

I watched that game on TV. Great photos of both the action and the intense spirit of the game.

I strongly dislike many things Carolina, but this team really is quit remarkable. Nice job in fun conditions. Cheers.

Great set of pics. I like the shots (4a & 5) showing the emotion of the game. I have to disagree on the b&w. It doesn't do anything for me, but then again I haven't seen many b&w's that do.

Great set. Stamford had their chances even without Kelly in there. I like the B&W too. Drives home the emotion for me.

The B&W is excellent. Shows the emotion of the situation perfectly. Love it!

Why is it that B&W is often better for sadness, and not celebrations? Does it add to the gloominess of the moment?

Sometimes to me it drives home the grit of the moment. Jubilation and B&W aren't synonymous in my mind.
