whats up guys newbie here, just practicing some lighting all criticism welcome

i like the first pic's lighting, but the car is too far out.

what are you using for lighting? sweet location, where is this at?

1 alien bee b800 to the left and one nikon sb800 to the right and im located in Quartz Hill california

i see regamasters.. =D both nice cars and bg.
im guessing the white car is yours? you have gtu's or are they bbs?

A tighter crop of #1 would be better, but more importantly, I'd like to see it with no strobe, or just a touch of strobe so that the highlights from the sky could work with the body. You're probably thinking that there wasn't enough light in the sky for that, but look at this shot:
