Convict built church I visited had well gated pews.
Times were tough back then

Damn it Richard, our post clashed again.

In a lot of the places I used to take the communion wine ‘so to speak’ they had glass prayer books with handles
Edit:- And we used to sing with great gusto and always left with a smile on our face.

Well we always put plenty in the offertory box and made the confession when we got home

St. Lawernce whitchurch, Stanmore, NW London.

Origionaly part of the now gone Chandos estate. Handle would have played there when his patron was the Duke of Chandos. The Italian decoration and box pews are the original Georgian.

Of course it's real claim to fame is my wife and I were married there.
