Adorable? yes. No doubt.
A little too tight of a shot? again,yes given your aperture. The DOF needn't be that shallow for him to retain his adorable-ness.

2¢ worth :-)

Thanks, but I'm well aware of the DOF in that shot and it came out exactly as I wanted it to. My 50 1.8 isn't very sharp wide open and the soft focus effect adds a dreaminess to this particular photo that I love ... I think it creates a mood that his expression reinforces.

Just posted it because he was so cute =)
