Has anyone yet invested in continuous lights? What kind of feedback can you share? Are you happy with your choices?

I have used a number of continuous lights over the years and I can whole heartedly recommend Kino Flo lights of any size. However the Diva 400 is what I use the most and it's a great light, It puts out a nice soft light that is dimmable and daylight balanced. If you are shooting indoors you can get tungston balanced tubes as well.

I have done nearly 150 video shoots in the past year with Kinos and they have never failed me. They are worth every penny you spend on them and they will last nearly forever if you maintain them well.

If you are a bit more budget minded I have also had great success with the Lowel brand lighting. I used Lowel lights for about a year before switching to Kino lights. They are great but they can be hard to control because they lack dimming abilities. They are hot and they only come in a 2900K color temp. However they are very capable and mix very well with indoor lighting.

Either brand are solid choices! I recommend them both but if you have the budget go for the Kinos!

My Tools: Canon 5D MRK II - A mess of lenses I probably don't need - A College Degree that I know I don't need.
