Hi guys,
I almost finished my battery and, so I went to charge it.
However, as I charged it, it went to full straight away.
Does anybody know why it happens? Is it leaked?

Have you another battery to compare? Are you sure all the connections between battery and charger work properly - one is a"sensor". My name is Henk. and I believe "It is all in the eye of the beholder....."

That' completely charge and completely discharged, when the cycle life is depleted, the cell no longer holds a charge (thus your battery charger went straight to full) . Also keep in mind, cycle life is linear, meaning if you use the battery by only half it's capacity and recharge it, and you do this continuosly, you multiply and increase your cycles; in this case your 500 is now 1000 cycles.

I have SterlingTek batteries, the BP-511A, and they're a year old. Both have been charged 32 times each. Gear list

If you're still within Canon's 1-year warranty, you can send it back and get another one. If not, there are plenty of good options out there. Sterlingtek batteries are popular and the price is right. (about $12)

Lithium batteries don't last very long, so I just recycled them and bought two more. If it's under one year, Sterlingtek will replace them for free.
