Must be nice to have the cash to be able to do that whenever. ![]() Yes, I'm very grateful to not have to be concerned about money. Especially when it comes to enjoying something as expensive as photography. Meow.

Something to do with windows not allowing a certain program to open if it thinks it's dangerous. No.... It's DEP, not DES. cfpackerfan wrote in post #9293781 I think I fried my laptop and I dont' even know what I did. ![]() Firefox wouldn't open. Kept getting closed down. So I clicked the help box, and it said that windows was preventing it from opening. I googled the message, and read some help tips. One of them was to go to into the command prompt and put in a command to make it so that windows wouldn't recognize firefox as a 'threat'. Or something like that. LOL. Now windows won't start at all. And I don't even remember what the command was, because I copied and pasted it. DEP is data execution prevention and you shouldn't have to do anything with it. I'm not sure how to pit it back to normal. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

When Firefox gets hung like that and won't kick off, Hit ctrl-alt-delete and start the task manager or you can right click on the task bar and kick off the task manager from there. Click on the processes tab and look for a firefox.exe. If it's there, right click on it and kill by clicking on the end process. It wasn't hanging up. It wouldn't start at all, saying that DEP was preventing it from opening. Cat -the femine feline with the namby arms. Loquacious, but not to a fault.
