Sid it is good to see that your brother is getting along so well. The invacare poles are a marvelous thing. Nice modifications to keep limber.

(I just typed that from my LAPTOP!)

I tried system restore. No good.
Tried to boot from disc, no good.
Tried again.
and Again.

finally, it said that it was unable to fix it, and one of my options was command prompt.

I undid the command I did.

Windows started (YAY!)

But firefox STILL wouldn't work.

SO I uninstalled it, and then downloaded it again.

Works!

WOOT!

cat have you considered google chrome? (external link) It might give you less trouble than firefox? It's faster. It doesn't have all the addons that firefox has but it's fast. I downloaded it and opanda iexif and I'm good to go.

and great job on fixing your laptop

and you missed my funny quote earlier! (I figured you might be the only one to know where it came from)

Sorry. No stories. It's a family forum.

I WILL say, however, that even with locked gates, there are ways to get in there at night.

You could pm them to us.

More fluorescence, and a bit of a surprise:

This is a quartz geode. I bought it at a science museum. I liked the way the crystals looked:

This is the geode under black light:
QUOTED IMAGE

Yes, the crystals do fluoresce, but here's the surprise....

... the geode after the black light is removed:

It only lasts a second, and is somewhat faint. You can see it with your eye, but only just.

The crystals in the geode are also phosphorescent! This was quite a neat find!

Yanno sumptin? You're a geek, and I love it! I'm living vicariously through you.

Why does my almost 2 year old enjoy putting AA batteries in his mouth? Where does he even find them? We are constantly chasing after him telling him to spit something out whether it's a penny, a screw from the basement or his favorite batteries. GAH! What is the fascination and is it harmful as long as he doesn't swallow it?

For the same reason mine does? Not sure on the harmful part, but we don't let him keep it in his mouth anyway.

Thanks for not showing the spider. Those two crazy folks who went hiking though....they're not bad looking! ;) (Your wife is very pretty, is what I'm sayin')

I don't want to cause you undo concern, Kiddo, but if I was you, I'd get about 500' away from it and hide behind something solid. It's getting ready to blow.

Heehee, for some reason I can completely hear you saying this in my head. I miss you...wanna come visit Hershey? Cause Cali isn't going to happen for us any time soon. :(

So far FF on win7 seems much better. I had FF lock up like that in XP at least once a week

Ditto that.

I have heard it was good, though I have really never had any problems with FF. One of my favourite aps with FF is Xmarks, as it allows me to sync my bookmarks on both my computers, and access them all from any other computer, including my phone. Does Chrome do this too?
