Today is the day Chief to make some New Years resolutions. You could start with a little dog and by the end of the year you could have 12.

If we ever decide to get a dog, it will probably be some sort of obnoxious, fluffy little yappy 'thing.' My wife is not into dogs you can have fun with; she would want something that sits in her lap and vegetate. A nice plush toy would accomplish the same thing, and probably have a lot more personality.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I am looking forward to the day that Tom competes with Jim and I and shows us all his schnauzer :-)

Had a blast... had front row seats... was very cool. Here's (external link) the rest of the "I took a P&S to a dark place and tried to take pictures" pictures of my evening with Jeff Dunham and his pals!

I'm jealous...

BTW, you need to change the name on your Zen...

<<--- has never skied.

I don't think I have either. I was really into ice skating a number of years ago. I would go a couple times a week. It was my preferred exercise.

I have had a bum knee issue in the past, but got it operated on, and have always worked hard to keep my legs in shape, thought the rest has suffered some.
Sledding is fun, but it is very expensive and noisy, and it is tough to enjoy the scenery when blasting on one. I used to do tons of it many, many years ago and really don't miss it. Most guys who do sled, do so because they are too out of shape to ski.

I think the reason I felt more at home on a snowmobile was I rode motorcycles a lot in those days, and it just felt more natural to be on something that moved when I told it to. Even more important, it stopped when you wanted it to, which was not my experience with skiing .

My knees are pretty well shot. It's a combination of abuse (mostly from dirt bike riding), age, too much weight, and (I believe) a genetic predisposition to arthritis. I'm still getting around okay, and haven't considered any sort of surgery. Things will have to get a whole lot worse before I do.

I have definitely had a couple unpleasant instances of not being able to stop as quick as I would have like while skiing, even a 4" diameter tree is pretty solid at high speeds.

At least you are mobile, that is a good thing. Arthritis has affected many people I know. Many just give in to soreness as they age, and what issues they have only set in worse.

Harley's first portrait session.

It was funny. When the kids were out here we were taking about how beautiful/regal Harley looks. (it was funny because she's a dog belonging to someone we only e-know, who lives in another country...and she was the subject of our conversation). Anyway, all lovely shots. She's a beautiful dog.

My legitimate brother is in Costa Rica for 10 days. :D

I woke up to pouring rain and cold. I'd much rather be in CR where it's got warm pouring rain. Ye gads I want to go tropical.

oh gosh I know. I saw this half spaniel/half irish setter puppy (external link) (I think that was the mix) on petfinder yesterday. Boy did I want to rescue it. Or this one. (external link) But the pouring rain (not to mention the death threats, from Puddles, at the thought of another pet) stopped me.

My husband encourages getting another puppy along with the bad behaviors. I am the trainer and main care taker and I am not ready to take on that extra work load right now. My breeders litter of 18 just went to their new homes so there are lots of puppy pictures going around.

You've come a long way, Lisa. This is coming from a person who, a year ago, was was ready to throw in the towel on dog ownership. You are to be congratulated for sticking it out with Kona and Hale.
