LOL!!! One of the things I enjoyed about working at a newspaper was the archives. Some of the ads from the late 1800's are hilarious!

They sure can be! I love the articles, too. They had such a different outlook and writing style back then. But, boy did they ever pack a whole mess of words onto each page! Sometimes it's a little difficult to read all that tiny print.

Never had horehound candy drops as a kid?

Never heard of 'em until early this morning... I wonder if they're still available somewhere.

I remember horehound drops... Horrible tasting things.

So, I'm better off not having the experience, then?

Flagged...

mwahahaha I saved it just in case!

Another one flagged and removed because of an adoption fee? Y'know, I think I've just decided to put Craigslist in the same category in me brane's filing cabinet as Wal*Mart. Never been there, never will...

I've been here 9 years now....this is more snow than we have had in the previous years combined.

I'm on vacation again (as of 12 hours ago), and on Monday I'll be heading back to my favorite old stomping grounds in the "Gold Country" part of Northern California. Two weeks ago they got hit with a storm that dropped more snow than they've seen in 110 years, according to the news reports. Reminds me of that freak storm that hit here in Palmdale (and Vegas) exactly one year ago, this week.

The snow up there is all gone by now, though. I'm not sure if I'm disappointed because I didn't get to see it, or glad because I'll be able to actually make it to my motel...

Just saw a lady spinning persian hair to make handbags. She is a professional cat groomer and hated seeing the stuff thrown away.

Chet, apparently there's someone local to us who uses dog hair as well as things like alpaca, goat and many other fibers...I have an opinion, but won't express it. To each their own.
