Hello everybody. It's such a beautiful bright sunny day out today. Sparkling blue sky, fresh fallen snow, too bad if you venture out you have about 8 seconds to live cause you'll freeze just like in that movie, The Day After Tomorrow.

Would love to be there!!!

Snowshoes would be better for doing photography, where you are just tripping about. You should go with his suggestion, it is fun. :D

One of my favorite parts of snowshoeing is getting out in the woods where it is absolutely quiet.

Hi Didier....nice shots.
I think I asked on FB, and not sure if you replied, but why do folks not ski when it is flat and open like that, much faster and easier then shoes. I do use shoes around camp, or in tight bush, otherwise if it is straight travel, I much prefer the speed and ease of skis.

Well, actually, it's not as flat as it looks.. The road goes up 600m in 7km ;-)a There were many people with touring skis though. But they didn't stay on the road. For the road, normal shoes were fine. That's actually what most people had on (dragging a sledge for the way down :D) We did put the snowshoes on for the sport...

You can see the road below on this one...

I love to do the same but prefer x-country skis. You can cover a lot more ground on skis than on shoes. It's tiring walking on those things.

Too many radical elevation changes in NY for skis....at least on my property....snowshoes are the only practical mode....

E-session. The one that is just for their save the dates.

I have a couple shots in mind. I hope the sun will flare nicely for the one I really want.
