My af assist was not firing at all on my 1d mark iii and 430ex. I reset all my custom functions both on camera and on the flash. I referenced both manuals and dont know how to fix it. The same happened to my friend's 7d and 580ex ii tonight. Strangely enough, his af assist would fire in auto and p but no other luck. If you guys have any idea, it would be a great help.
