Last time I looked, none were out yet. I think early January the first ones are due at Amazon. I'll probably buy the Magic Lantern Guide, if for no other reason than because I've gotten and read them for my previous cameras and I am accustomed to their books format and layout.

Alan, thanks
I probably should just walk outside and start shooting. However, I usually understand better when I have read it first.

You may already know of this but I find it to be a very good reference.

I almost bought the 7D field guide by Charolette K Lowery last weekend but it really was no more than a large version of the owners manual. It's out at Barnes if you want to check it out.

Wait for David D. Busch's book. It should be out in Jan. For my 40d I looked at several books and his was by far the best, although Magic Lantern's are good also if you can't wait.

I'll pipe in. B&H has about 3 hours of 7d tutorial on video from their store. It's pretty neat. That with the stuff from Canon should be a huge help.

I second David Busch's book. I had his for my 50D and it was great. I think it will be out in January.

Yes I'll second (or third by now) this if there is one being released,as I purchased his 40D version and it was a very detailed book indeed.

As good as the field guide series are (going by the 5D II one) the depth of information was far more in the David D. Busch manual.

I may have to look into that if there is one becoming available.

Learning. Slowly,but surely...
