So today I went home to visit my mom. When I got there she was out taking the dogs on a walk. I grabbed my camera and tried to met up with her along the way. Turns out she took a different route but on my way back I heard rustling in the trees. I thought it was a hawk and it was close! I wanted to try and get a shot so I stood around for a bit. Finally saw it in the trees, and upon zooming in I was like WHOA!

It was a quick shot and unfortunately I totally forgot I had some various settings fixed at non-ideal values...

Still, this was a very exciting sighting and shot for me!!!

I am quite sure I heard multiple rustlings together. I suspect it might have been the mother and had some babies...

Great shot. Mom would like that one. Owls are her favorite.
