From this article on Time... (external link)

"This 16-megapixel digital SLR from Canon shoots HD video at up to 30 frames per second (fps), has a 45-point autofocus system and shoots in bursts of 10 fps. By all accounts that makes for one heck of a camera. But wait, there's more. The 1D Mark IV is capable of shooting at ISO 102,400, which sidles right up to night-vision territory. Not only does it excel in low-light situations, it also shoots 1080p video with full manual exposure control. With a 1.3x crop factor, however, the Mark IV isn't a full-frame rig. If you can't afford to drop a few grand on a camera, just wait until some of the Mark IV's technology (like low-light performance) eventually trickles down to point-and-shoot cameras. Price: $5,000.

That's what I was thinking, LOL.

I'd have probably chosen the Leica M9, personally. Since it was, you know, "impossible" and all that. Granted, at the time the statement was made is WAS impossible... Bonus, they're just about as rare as the 1D4.
