Hi all

The Goldcrest is the smallest bird in Europe and a newly established breeding species in Iceland. They are extremely difficult to photograph, not only due to their small size but rather for the fact that they never stand still and usually hide between branches. I've been trying to get decent shots of this species for quite some time but without much luck. These are my best efforts so far. I would appreciate to hear your thoughts (C&C) on these.

These are truely stunning shots. I had the fortune to spot one recently and I got some mediocre shots compared to yours! Though don't get me wrong I was happy with mine to some degree yours are truely amazing! I've seen some pro photographers shots of these and yours beats them hands down!

beutifull shots sindri, im glad to hear they are establishing themselves in your country, because of their small size and fast movements they dont fall victim to predators so they should multiply rapidly,i caught my one and only pic in 2008 by focusing on a branch i knew was used reulary and taking many many shots,i think it is safe to say this is the most anoying bird in britain to try and ge a pic of

Just wonderful shots of a cute little bird Sindri! Your patience was certainly put to the test in obtaining such close shots like these, the detail is superb!

That one we call a Golden Crowned Kinglet over here, I believe and based on your story, I know exactly how you felt. Ours never stand still either. Flitty is a good word for it. These images are stunning Sindri.

I'd say these shots are more than decent Sindri! You captured this little guy very well. They look very similar to our Golden-crowned KInglet.
Great shooting.
