For the JPEG I shoot in 'S' Standard mode where it apparently boosts the contrast a little. Do you think that is a safe mode and is making a subtle contrast adjustment I would make anyways or do you think that is working against me and robbing some tones from me? Thanks. More info | What you really want to do--although it's some work up front--is to use the Picture Style editor to create a custom Picture Style that processes the image the way you basically want it (the way you would process the raw image).
