I was visiting my girlfriend and this is what happened. I brought my 580, stand, and umbrella but ended up just using natural light.

I've only made minor (color balance and exposure curve adjustments) and have NOT cropped these pictures yet. I'm open to suggestions as far as cropping or further editing.

Am I correct in concluding that these shots were all taken into the sun?

It was actually really cloudy that day, but I think 1 & 3 were taken with the sun hitting her face a little more. 2 was taken with the sun behind her.

I feel like 3 is in really sharp focus, thus looks the best
