Alright. . so I've been very interested in photography since highschool. My mom bought me a Xti Rebel for my graduation present. So far I've had it for 3 years. .right now im a housewife with 2 children. My husband is military and we have orders to move to Japan on March 1st of next year. Im really really wanting to start my own photography buisness.I've already came up with a name. (Bright Eyes Photography). I love photography with a passion. I've started collecting photos for my portolio and I would really like to know what you think? I have a basic lens. No equipment. I have what we can only afford as of right now. (Until i move to Japan we will have lots of money to buy me new lens, euipment, and etc.) I do a little editing on photoshop. So please tell me. . what do you think?

Seeing that picture of Landon- I can't imagine where you came up with the name Bright Eyes...LOL :D Actually I think its a great name! And I love shot number one its so unique. I do like them all. Good luck with the business and being in Japan...our hearts go out to you. Military life is hard- As far as equipment goes, it may be good to wait till you get to Japan to buy, I don't know this for sure but I almost bet some of the stuff you can get cheaper there than here in the States.

The first ione is the best for me out of the series.the babe is dark in the last one, and there are heavy shadows on her side and wee head.Th e crop on the babe in the second is off for me?

Your son is a cutie.his hair does get lost ion the BG though.a hairlight/backlight would alliveate this. Did you add a glow to his face?

Good luck in all your endeavors;)

When your living paycheck to paycheck. . it's hard to buy anything other than food to survive. I can't wait to get there. . only 2 more months. =-D

image 1 is a great idea. Ive attempted something similar with my daughter and have not been able to nail it yet as she prefers to pull them off and throw them rather than blow them lol. Just be careful with the sun. His hair is blown in the back and it keeps pulling my eye to that part of the picture rather than focusing on the good stuff

Second picture needs to be a little sharper for me. Its a cute outfit! Also, be careful with the diapers showing

Three looks unreal and completely photoshoped. Did you do any alterations to his eyes post processing? Thats insane if you didnt because those are some wicked blues with black outlines. But I love the colors in the picture

I like where you were going with four. The clouds are blown but the overall color is good.

Four is not quite right. I cant put my finger on whats wrong. I cant tell if its over saturated or what. See her skin, how its kind of taken on a dapple appearance in the shadows? Then her stomach on the right side looks sunken in.

I would say your photos look 110% better than my starting photos a year ago and you will get better the more you shoot. Best of luck with your business and your trip to Japan!

I didn't use any kind of equipment and im not that talented with photoshop. . ( still learning alot. .) yeah and the crop is off. i didn't even really look at that. shows what an amateur i am haha. no didn't add a glow. just smoothed his skin out. everything behind him was already dark so i just filled it in to look like a backdrop.

I'm not sure it's a great idea to rip off a band's name for your business.
