Im on winter break from school and my plans were to shoot a lot over break and attempt to get better. It's been raining since I have been home so it has been difficult to shoot, but there was break in the clouds today and here is some of what I got:

Forgive me for not being able to determine where the sun is in these images, but it looks like you were shooting into the sun on all three.

I guess you are seeing blown out snow and clouds? what I meant by "break in the clouds" was that it stopped raining/snowing for a few minutes.

The first one would be great if the house weren't in the background. But other wise, I love the way the tree is very monochromatic, almost black and white and your eye goes straight to the bright leaves. But the house in the background is distracting and breaks the black and white illusion.

I really like the other two - they show character in the dog, you have good catchlights and they are well exposed. My only complain on the last one is that you've chopped off his paws. I would have either cropped a little tighter or a little wider.
