Eight shots taken last winter and stitched using PT Assembler.

10D with 100-400L @400 iso 200 f8 1/160.

For the locals these shots were taken from Portencross, 14 miles from Arran.
A bit too large, therefore the link works best.

Now that is pretty amazing. I love the colors and the detail. Great job.

Cameron, great work. How did you find PTassembler to work with?

Rich, PTassembler can be had here, http://www.tawbaware.com/ptasmblr.htm (external link) , and costs $39.00

Well Cameron i must say this one caught my eye, a super view of what i know is a super place "this time im biased" though as you will no doubt know by now this is my favourite walking place

In fact i believed the weather forecast for yesterday and went walking on arran again yesterday .oh boy was the forecast wrong

cloud base was down round about the 800 feet mark so you can imagine how many pictures i came home with,in fact the camera didnt leave the rucksack but the walk was worth it

it allways nice to see some shots from the surrounding area that i know so well

as soon as i seen this shot i thought now where did he take that from then i read your description which explains how you managed to get so wide but so high up the range as well

once again cameron a super shot there worthy of hanging on the wall this one i think

thanks for sharing

regards john:lol:

Thanks guys.
I think it's a great piece of software (DL:)).

Dana, I've only just started using it so can't go into any depth but autocreate does it all for you and works well.

John, sorry you didn't get the weather yesterday. That's Scotland for you.
I intend a trip to Argyll tomorrow, Loch Sween area, somewhere in the region of the beautiful village of Tayvallich.
Have you heard of it? There's a pub there does a nice bar lunch. :)
No hillwalking though, purely photography.

Trevor, you are in the perfect region to try panorama shots.
You'll love it.

I have one problem. I have some Epson Panorama paper that I used in my previous printer. My present printer, Epson R1800, doesn't appear to have the drivers for this type of paper. Probably not suited to the pigment ink.
Does anyone know a work around or other Panorama paper that would be suitable. :(

Cameron, I've just had a look on Epson UK web site and the references for roll papers are:

C13S041379 329mm x10m Premium Glossy
C13S041338 329mm x10m Premium Semi Glossy
Hope this helps:D

Trevor

Its too big man....I cant see the whole shot at once. You should post a version that can be seen without scrolling.

Comments and Suggestion ALWAYS welcome.

Sounds like you have not got your browser setup to "autofit" any large images. Hover your mouse over the image and you should get a button appear with arrows expanding out, click it. Then click it again, does the image resize?

lomond, that is a fantastic view! I am a fan of pano's and certainly ones that are evocative (like yours) and not just taken "for the heck of it". You see a lot of people try panos with no real purpose or reason for doing it on the scene they present.

IMHO, this is a perfect example as to why you SHOULD take panos! Look at the scene and the mountain range, its is just crying out for it.

Well done!!!
