New guy here... wanted to say hello. I am brand new to the photography scene. I really know nothing about it at all, lol. I am a CS4 guy who has the bug, big time to take my own shots now. Just got my T1i for xmas. This is my first SLR. I can't tell you how much I look forward to learning from you guys! These pics were taken with the wife's Powershot and edited in PS4. Again I can't wait to learn from you guys/gals.

Welcome! :)

I would've been dead chuffed with myself if I'd taken that first shot when I first started! Very nice.

Welcome. No onto the critique.

#1 Why not fix the horizon? Was this intentional? Composition isn't great. Too much dead space on the right. Lose the vignette. It's not adding anything.

#2/#3 Again, lose the vignettes. Far too distracting. If you want to focus my attention on something, either compose the shot better before you take the shot, or crop in post.
