the white bubbles seem a little bit too blue. could be my monitor too though. lol

You really think they'd call that six foot?

I personally would call it eight foot (I'm from California), but I bet you anything they call that 3-5 foot.

I was at Pipe when it was about that size, and I didn't catch any. Too intense for this old kook.

And, yes, he's riding small boards these days. Some say that's why he didn't do as well this year: too much experimentation.

He's riding tiny boards sometimes. I was at the Hurley Pro at Trestles in September, and Slater got a 9.0 and a 9.5 in the first five minutes of his round three heat. So he ditched the normal board and grabbed his football thingy. I thought he surfed better on the conventional board.

But at least he's trying to advance the sport.
