I had the day off of work and I couldn't surf myself so I decided to rent a 300 f2.8 with a 1.4x. These were taken with my 40D and this is my first attempt at PP with the free version of LR2. Let me know how I can improve them.....Thanks

I have never shot surfing, but I have to agree. I like #3 the best.


7D gripped / Rebel XS / 70-200 f/2.8 L IS / 50mm f/1.4 / and some other stuff

They look good.

My only suggestion is to back up a little (personal choice) to see more of the wave.

Number three looks good, but did he continue on the wave? It looks like he might have gone a little too far out the back.

Thanks for the suggestion. I cropped these quite a bit as I was pretty far from the action. I'll try and include more of the wave on a few shots. I don't remember if he made it down the front of the wave or not.

LR2 is great for adjusting the whitewater. Nice job w/ the 300 f2.8!
Gotta love how the 40D crop and 1.4x gives you 672mm on the reach!!!!
