It has arrived!

The 7D arrived and now awaiting battery charge... The camera feels terrific in the hands and is REALLY well built. I noticed that in the store, but to have it in my hands at my house you really appreciate it. For my big hands, this camera fits like a glove. No grip will be needed It would be too large then...

Can't wait to try this out. Has my 70-200mm on it ready to go to see how out of focus my pictures are!!


I hope I just didn't jinx myself there...

Anyway, I will let you know the outcome. Sorry for another 7D thread, but it was not my intention. Just pretend it's something else I got if it really bothers you!

One thing, I know people have said the viewfinder is grainy due to LCD overlay, but man, it is very spotty/grainy. Maybe its because the camera is off with no battery inside of it and it will get better once powered on?

Well I got to play around with it and absolutely love it. No softness issues, sharper then my XSI/T1i both were, especially for the indoor and poor lighting I am able to test this in.

Here is one shot I had, only took a few... Messing with the wireless flash function, love that...

I am envious. I have been shooting with the xsi for about 6 months now and love it. But am thinking of upgrading to the 5d next year.

Got to shoot around with it tonight at the family party and have to say, I am VERY impressed with this camera. I must say, I was worried after reading what seemed like nothing but poor reviews with sharpness, AF accuracy, etc... But man, this camera is miles ahead of the Rebel series and I feel I get my money worth with this camera. Maybe its because many "downgraded" from 5D Mark II's or something, but how could you NOT love this camera??

Just checked out my shots from tonight and very impressed! Unfortunately most of my shots are very low light using ISO 1600-6400, but the focus accuracy is better then it was with my xsi/t1i, especially in these lighting situations.

Can't wait to test drive it at the airport this weekend hopefully! That will be a nice test...
