Thanks everyone....the one from the plane was coming back from Atlanta on an airliner. Many air routes coming to Seattle from the east will go north of the mountains like that.

Some of the best air tours around seattle are done through kenmore air

Beyond that if you really want to be blown away visiting Seattle take a ferry ride
