I must say 82 that is quite the image. The post in the background sucks but that is part of the track.

Here are a couple from a local race that took place in April. Just curious as to what you folks think. I think they turned out somewhat well. The first one made print in the most recent Cycle USA magazine, along with a couple others.

Holy Photo size Batman. T-Fish try and post to 1024 pix in with and link to larger resolutions.

I realized that as soon as I hit submit. I went into Photobucket and was hoping I'd get them shrunk before anyone caught it!

Mataz426- My hurt shoulder is livable with a 1D3/70-200 combo but not with a 300. Honestly I will give up my 300mm f2.8 and one of my 1D3's to get a 1DS3, pay for my 70-200 to upgraded to the version 2 and maybe an AB800. The flexibility having both FPS speed and file size far outweigh my 300mm. It also fits the direction I am starting to go. Imagine your favorite picture printed the size of a wall or as a fathead that is razor sharp and just plain crisp. This is not likely possible with a 1D3, it could happen but you would have to be super lucky.

I hear you on the weight of that lens, they are really heavy and you have to do what is in the best interest of your shoulder. If you need reach, you could always consider the 300mm f/4, a very nice and lighter prime lens.

Diggin the new body..It's very consistent and most photos are getting zero processing whatsoever. It is going to save me a lot of time!

Great photo's guy. Are you using a ND filter? wondering how your getting that dof / f number and shutter speed at that aperture

Yes .. I mix and use a good vari ND to reach my target F1.4-F2.0 1/60-1/80.
I like panning when I can avoid hard stripes in the background.
So with 85L +ND, I can get a smooth creamy background. It's just a bit more tricky to get an appropriate DOF ...

Not strictly motocross - Hattah Desert Race from last year in Australia. Worst conditions I've ever shot in outdoors. Raining most of the day, first time I've had to boost ISO so high in outdoor situations during the day.

Very nice 426. Is this what you use?
