You can't go wrong buying a bike from Blue! How many rides did it have on it? About 3 or 4? Most of that time would have been spent shooting the **** about when he was really fast! HAHA!

HAHAHA!!! This bike still has that "new car smell" for sure.

82NoMe Thank you
Been feeling a bit burned out lately. I'll keep checking here for some inspiration (This is the only active group of people sharing Motocross photos on the net)

Eric, the first question they will ask is who you are shooting for and where is the work going to end up? Right now there are several guys that don't belong down there yet somehow have pulled it off. I can tell you the only possible way of getting on the floor is to do something for a local paper or anything not moto related They have more then enough moto coverage but are always looking for mainstream If you really want to shoot SX, just buy a ticket and shoot away from the stands. Everybody is under the impression you have to be on the dirt to get good shots. We are usually limited to the outside of the track and maybe a spot in the middle that is usually not very good. I spend at least half of every race shooting in the stands and I don't have to. If they hassle you about your gear, give me a call, Ill walk it in for you. And not to be negative, unless you have a solid outlet that can try and get you a credential, don't even bother trying on your own, it will never happen. He tells me he gets hundreds of requests from every guy that has a moto website and he is just irritated by them.

I appreciate the advice, I'll give the local paper a call in the morning. I can't tell you how many MX/SX magazines I've called just to get the no due to them having staffers or someone already for the event. I find it funny that NHRA from what I've been told is one of the hardest sanctioning bodies to get credentials for and all I have to do is ask and 95% of the time I get an OK from the publisher. Hopefully it works out for Santa Clara if not then I'll try again in 2017.

Eric, I was just curious what you do for the Monster Truck deal? I shot it for FELD once, and they own the rights to everything which is why there are never any photographers working unless it is for them. Did you work for FELD too?

For the past six years I've been Feld's go to guy for their Northern California shows; I ended up having a photo used in a Fox Sports article last year which was cool but in the end I wouldn't have minded being paid for that usage either.

I'm honestly not sure if I'll photograph for them in 2017, today I got a phone call I hadn't expected to get back about covering some MLB games here in the bay area. If I end up expanding into MLB I'd definitely like to end up doing NBA, NHL, etc.. which happen to be during Monster Jam's first quarter.

But I will say photographing for them has opened up opportunities for me that has helped out in the long run like last year I got credentialed for NHRA at Sonoma and could've worked the Pomona event at the end of last year but didn't. I was actually going to be in Pomona this weekend covering for Autoweek but my Canon 7D2 auto focus failed and had to send it into CPS.

Wish i had used it a bit more and with something a bit longer on it than the 24-70.

The amount you can crop is insane but its just a shame it doesnt have better ISO and frame rate.

The pixel density is the same as the 7D MKII but you get the advantage of using it wide as a full frame.

Have just ordered the 1DX MKII for work and the track stuff i do so will be good to see how it does with some MX this year.

The 1dx MKII looks fantastic. Saw where they recovered a -5ev photo compared to the 1dx and it looks quite impressive. So the dynamic range has been improved. Pulling up shadow detail should be very nice on the new camera.

I am by no means a pro at this, just simply like to take a few shots while I'm out riding. These are a few from yesterday.

Was also my first time using my 200 2.8L...which is fantastic.
