I know this thread is about posting your photos, but I have a question and I'm pretty sure if I put in the discussion section nobody will answer. How do you guys go about shooting in full on sun and the shadows that are produced by it?? I shot a race this weekend and shadows were bad!!!
Well, It's a bad situation. lol. If you can't get close enough to use flash I would play around with things. Expose for the sunny spots and see if the shadows are tolerable to bring back in post. And play with the opposite. Shadows will be easier to bring back than highlites. Once they're blown out they're gone.
I'd also shoot with a higher ISO to get less contrast. Of course you'll have to bring the colors back in post.
Right or wrong, that's how I go about it.
