Thanks All! I'm still working on getting one up from the same session using the 17-40L that I got 30 minutes before shooting for comparison.

Thanks for the info.
Here's what's got me scratching my noggin: at 20 sec shutter speed how is it that the flag on the building is not just a blurry splotch in the night sky?

it seems the more I learn the less I know...:confused:

It's funny that you noticed that too. I was drawn to it as well...

Just one of those crazy things! Here is a 250% crop of the flag. You can see the effect of the breeze at this magnification.

Very nice photo, really makes you love those L's eh........it helps to have the skills to use them though and you've shown that, great stuff.
