Nice to see the redpolls back just a shame it was a dull wet day yesterday here in the south uk ............. Sorry no kingfisher !!!!!

Perhaps it was a dull, wet day, but that did not prevent you from capturing some wonderful detail on this beautiful little bird. I have always found that overcast skies work best on these small birds. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

A beautiful redpoll Ady... I didn't realize you had the redpolls in the UK... ours have not returned yet, last winter they returned on Dec. 29, so I am patiently awaiting their arrival. :)

Very pretty shot Lippy, lots of detail and a fine pose. With that red on the head these birds always remind me of India. Well done!

Bro lippy - why so tight crop - it seems the sharpness is not on the head - Bg colour i prefer to wait out for a green :) so steady ur shot w/ that settings;)
