i was directed here by a friend who mostly does action photography.

i am to be in a photo-shoot in the next few days, part of which is to be B & W. the photographer has given me suggestions on how to best apply my make-up for the B & W, but i would like to hear other suggestions and input from others in the photography field, either professional or amateur.

thank you!

I dont know about make-up but I do know that you can use Hersheys chocolate syrup as a substitute for blood. :)

I don't know that much about it, but my daughter who is a make up artist, says that deep red lipstick will photograph as an unattractive "black", so you are better off using pinks or oranges and stay away from the reds as they will not photograph well. I know this is true with clothing, when shooting for black and white, so it makes sense to me. Otherwise, I know that strobes andother bright lights do tend to wash out your makeup, so a heavier hand in applying it makes sense.
