New 5D Mark II or 85 L? -- Help Me Decide

Ok...I guess this question can go here...

I currently have a 40D and the following lenses:

50 mm f/1.4
28 - 135 Kit Lens...never use it
Tamron 12-24mm
400 f/5.6L

My question is -- I would like to get into taking more Portraits. I have invested in an Alien Bee 800 with a Medium Octobox and some Cybersync Triggers.

I think my next purchase is either going to be a 5D Mark II or a 85 f/1.2L

Which should I get first and why?

The 40D works well, but you don't have any really good lenses. I'd go with a lens first, though I don't think i'd suggest 85 F1.2 for general purpose. 85 F1.8 is close, and MUCH cheaper, with change for a shorter prime.
