Hi all,

I've been saving up for a while now and I've finally decided to buy the two items listed in the title (plus an adapter ring) tomorrow to allow me to really get into some proper macro work, and I'm wondering if people think that £700 is a good price to pay for the two items, considering they are of course both Canon mount which considerably bumps the prices. £700 is a HELL of a lot of money for me (I'm 16), so I want to know that I'm making the right choice.

I wanted equipment for high-speed insect shots and general macro photography, and after doing a fair bit of research I got to these two products. I chose the 150mm lens to allow me to get 1:1 shots without scaring my subjects off, and I chose the flash to allow me to get well-lit shots at higher shutter speeds and smaller apertures.

If anyone has any advice/tips for me then I'd really appreciate it, £700 is the most money I've ever spent! Lol... :p

Thanks in advance for any help,

Jack McEntire :)
