Bear Mt., and another eye sore

Continuing the series I have posted on the Flatirons, the first picture shows the uplifted sandstones on Bear Mt., and on the southern part of Green Mountain (to the right).

The second photo is a wider shot of the Third Flatiron on Green Mt. (to the right), and another permanent eyesore, Woods Quarry, lower left. Stones quarried in the 20s were used on some of the buildings at the University of Colorado. The legacy of the quarry is a permanent scar on Green Mountain as well as the beautiful buildings at CU.
