I just bought a canon hd camcorder. It looks like the files are .mts files. Anyone know a good way to convert them to AVI files? Or is there something else I should be converting them to share them online? I have my on site so I can upload video, I just want people to be able to view them easiliy. These are just vids for friends or family.

Is software like premiere able to convert the mts to avi?
Thanks,

I believe that the adobe media encoder (comes with premiere CS3 and CS4) can convert mts files if you want to convert them straight across. I don't work with mts files that often but if my memory serves me media encoder can do it.
