This is Angel, she was born at the Donkey Shelter on December 21st and these pictures were taken on the 26th. She is a real sweetie. Welcome to the herd baby girl. Comments and Suggestions appreciated. These were taken with my new Canon 50D--that I still need a ton of practice with.

What a little cutie, great pics.

Is she an orphan? Looks like she's being fed from a bucket. I am wondering about the shape of her face, in the second pic she seems to have a big lump on her nose, she might have a wry mouth, I am not sure though. Is she healthy?

She is not an orphan, but her mama got sick shortly after giving birth, and we were afraid she wasn't getting enough milk, so we tried feeding her goat's milk from the bucket. She decided she really liked her mama's milk better and was soon nursing happily. She is the fuzziest baby donkey that I have ever seen and it makes her look sort of odd, the vet has given her and mama a clean bill of health, so they are happily adjusting to being a family.
