Who uses it now that the stock option is gone?
How do you use it?
Is it beneficial?
Thanks.

I use it for editorial and yes it's beneficial. The number one thing is all my images are searchable online as they have good SEO with the images so if someone Googles a player it comes up and has generated sales (both editorially and to players and parents). I also use it for an immediate download system for my clients so if they don't want to or can't wait for the CD it's instantly there for them to download.

For my second account - we have a bunch of photogs uploading to it, clients sign up with us, download/use what they need and pay. Only trusted clients are allowed access, it tracks all the activity and everyone seems to love the ease of it's use.

Do NOT use it for prints because I use exposure Manager but they have now teamed up with EM - the biggest problem is storage is only 35GB for the cheapest one. Haven't looked into it too much yet but going to check out what they're doing print wise as well. They of course are based to editorial/commercial clientele and not parents wanting prints.

Hey Mike,
thanks for the reply.
I had actually seen you similar reply in another thread.
It seem like you're the only one

Now that you mention it I can only think of a couple other users on here who use PhotoShelter - one is the guy I run Four Seam with (SportsOnFilm) and the other is Muls for his fight images.

There has to be more, just no names jumping out at me.

Thanks for the info.
I'm trying to figure out how it would be beneficial to me but can not see.
I shoot local sports plus fitness and glamour.

Let me know if you think I'm missing something.
If you get a chance pick up a copy of Inside Fitness Magazine this month, I have 7 girls plus a 1 guy and few other photos in there.
Not sure where you get it on that side of the border.

Depends what you're doing - if you work mostly editorial it's the best site out there. If you're trying to sell prints I think Exposure Manager wins that battle.

Way I put it is simple, images not online with good search capability can't be found!
