The Rotorua area is renowned for its unique "rotten eggs" smell, and you couldn't get closer to the smell than this place, Wai-O-Tapu. An active geothermal area in New Zealand's Taupo Volcanic Zone.

Boy, those are nice. We went to Rotorua in 1993, but I don't recall such nice colors. It was mostly gray, not nearly as colorful as Yellowstone.

Nice photos. Your first and last have great classic composition with the orange and white curves that lead into the edge but not exactly into the corner. I do wonder about the amount of sky in each shot though. I know it was limited by what you wanted to show of the vapor clouds, but the first could do with more sky to complete rule of thirds, and the last could do with less sky.
