My PowerShot Pro1 makes a chirping sound every time I focus. I want my camera to be totally silent, I don't need a sound feedback.
How do I turn it off? I can't find that option in the menus. What have I overseen?

So far I haven't found anything about the settings of those two beeps you mentioned, and they are the beeps that annoy me.

Feb 27, 2006 14:33 | #7 Thank you for all your answers. Finally I found an option: If I turn "sound off" on, then the camera is silent. I guess the strange way of putting it confused me totally.
