Imm. Bald Eagle (Portrait)

I managed to get with in about 40 feet of this young eagle while it was perched on a utility pole. I was using my 500mm lens, so I got a few portrait shots before it flew off.

Nice image, very sharp, don't you just love that 500mm, I sure
love mine...

That first shot is stunning, the way you have them perched in trees like that is just so unfair, we can only dream of such a proliferation of magnificent birds.

There was at least two hundred eagles along that part of the river waiting too feed on the salmon.

What an opportunity. That fist shot is is really nice. Great job.
