OK - what type of car is this? I can't take credit for the shot - my father took it just outside Salzburg earlier in the year (along with 130 odd others, all of which I can identify). A big wadge of cars were doing a hillclimb up the Gaisberg
Any ideas? I'll post a side view if no-one gets the front end!

Should be a Veritas, according to the logo ... but don't know which model, maybe the 'RS' racing car.

Look here (external link) for another example you could buy at the moment at one of the better German car dealers .

Someone will know (or research) with more detail.

Best regards,
Andy

Andy - great stuff! It is the RS - I found pic below on google (very similar - different screens / bonnet). I'd never heard of Veritas. Seems it was a splinter of post war BMW, and produced around 100 cars. Interesting!

They were quite successful in races in Germany after the war ... former BMW employees using old BMW stock to build their vehicles.

Best regards,
Andy

Nah ... they are just sitting in a very cool car

A bit of explanation ... I tried to find out how expensive these cars are ... and the site where I found one has some kind of 'bandwith system' giving a certain 'bandwith' for every car.

These bandwiths are starting from a relatively humble $7500 (what would you get for that, maybe an old Cortina ??? ) to $ 250,000.

But the car mentioned is not in one of these bandwiths, it has a 'please inquire' sticker  ... so I assume you are pretty cool if you're riding in one!

Best regards,
Andy

'please inquire'
I guess if you need to enquire, you probably can't afford one anyway :-) !.
Never seen a car quite like it. Looks like a silver prototype batmobile or something !

All I can find is a 'not sold' at Coys in '99 at a guide price of £90,000-£110,000 !

I'll post a couple more shots next weekend.
