Hi everyone,

I'll be traveling to Ireland, England and Scotland this spring for a couple of weeks and was hoping to get some suggestions/feedback from those of you who have already been there. My 30D will, of course, be by my side... whoo hoo!!!

This is my first trip abroad and I'm very excited to go to this beautiful part of the world! I was wondering if any of you, whether you've visited or live in this part of the world-- have any advice for me (i.e., places I absolutely MUST see; tourist traps to avoid; hotels/places to stay at; ways to get around). I would really appreciate any feedback you could offer or any thoughts/advice you'd like to share about traveling in this area.

Thanks in advance for your help! :o)

Happy New Year!!

Emily

Speaking about Scotland, I would have to say that Edinburgh (im there!) is definately worth a visit photographywise. There are almost unlimited photo opportunities in Edinburgh alone.

Also Stirling, Loch Ness, Glencoe, Skye, Arran- in fact virtually the whole of the country north of Perth is very photogenic!

Definately drive - its the only way to see what YOU want.

Places to avoid - the tourist rubbish shops that litter the High Street and Princes Street in Edinburgh. If you are buying tartan, go to an established tailor - the c%^p the "tat" shops will sell you will last 5 mins.
