red squirrels

here are a couple of squirrel shots taken about 18 months ago at formby
this was one of the uk s red squirrel strongholds i believe most got wiped out recently with the pox disease
hopefuly they will make a comeback

thanks for all the kind comments
these little guys are so tame. they will feed out of your hands
just find a quiet spot away from kids and dogs and just bait the area with nuts and they will come to you
although its only about 15 miles from were we live we have not been for a while.
i heard they had all been wiped out, but maybe it will recover
