Here's my first attempt at capturing the moon. It doesn't really hold a candle to the majority of the shots posted here, but I thought it came out pretty decent for my modest rig.

Actually your shots looks very good I especially like the second one. One big thing that I think matters a lot in taking moon shots is the clarity of the sky. I tend to wait until the sky is very clear before I attempt a shot. My settings are very similar to yours except I shot mine at f/18. I thought about going up to ISO 800 on my next attempts to increase the shutter speed since I don't think color and noise wouldn't be a big issue. I'm also using a 5D MKIII. One more thing is that I've sharpened my images (perhaps a bit over sharpened) I'm plan to use a little less sharpening next time. Thanks for the feedback.
