Cool composite! The moon looks kind of like a deathstar in that shot. Too bad you couldn't catch a meteor as well...

Great shot of the moon you have there!!! I am 'assuming' you used your Bigmos to capture this shot. Did you do any sharpening of the photo?

I also have the Bigmos but mine never come out of camera looking as good as yours do (if yours was SOOC)

Well then, I'll chime in! as the moon was headed toward "fullness"/Blue Moon last week I began a "moon project"!

I set up the 100-400 with a 1.4x TC on my trusty ol' 30D. Since that setup prevents AF. it was manual focus all the way, which can be "fun" with a setup like that, a tripod so no IS, just used the self-timer since I didn't have my cable release handy.

At the 560mm "reach", I still needed to crop closely. This was from "day 1" when there was more shadow detail:
