Richard, very nice image - curious your copyright says 2012 yet the EXIF data says "Date Created = 2009/03/06", which is correct?
What lens & TC combo did you use for 840mm?

I missed the post above....

Wow, now that is some lens-power!!
A $12k lens, curious you are a Pro photog or connections to some, right?

You are correct....image shot in 2009 but the edit to produce that final image was done in 2012. This stayed "dormant" for quite a while on my original PC.

I do not do this for money so I am not a pro. I do dental procedures all day long, fixing teeth/jaws/smiles is stressful......this type of photography allows me to relax.

It's something how much more moon can be seen in just 2 days.

Nice, Paul! I've been looking out my window at the moon, contemplating whether or not to shoot it or not. It's literally red right now, so I'm assuming the soupy, humid weather won't let me get a good shot. Apparently I'm too lazy to find out, lol.

Thanks Ace.

lol. i was kinda pleasantly surprised by the humidity. my viewfinder window fogged up too, good thing for live view.

A red moon could be cool. (do it! :) ) although i've been processing the moon shots in BW lately.

Moon running away from me. Needed to increase shutter.

Shoot strait through a Celestron C8(1980's style). so i didn't have to zoom.It almost didn't fit my crop sensor.

Finally was able to get a shot with the 70-200mm tonight, been too cloudy since I got the lens last week. First shot of the moon so I was happy with it:

One more of the moon, I really do not have many of these..hit and miss....much more miss than hit. Same equipment as previous shot.

Love this shot! Don't think there are any UAL 757's left in that scheme!
