Hey, I got some "waxing crescent" shots as well!

I took them with the 100-400 lens and a 1.4x TC on my trusty ol' 30D, and we tend to have a lot of humidity (with the moon pretty low, over city lights) so it's not the sharpest combo but I do like shooting crescent moons!

So, hope you enjoy

That's very nice Mikey. You must have been out late to get that.

So jealous...I wanted to get that shot last night but it was raining. :( Well, maybe next month.

Ditto. It's either raining, cloudy, or hazy every day. Supposed to start clearing up tomorrow! :)

Nice! I just took this shot, too, but I was shooting between cloud cover and mine isn't anywhere near as detailed. What settings did you shoot at? I couldn't get the blue out of the natural moon color.

I was at 1/320

f6.3 wide open for this lens. I should have had it at f8 for better sharpness. dumbs noob mistake. :(

ISO 160

Gonna try again soon if clouds cooperate.

If I use a tripod and my 2x I do, but this was handheld, so it wasn't.
