I have to say though - I did see something strange a quick red flash in the sky while I was watching the moon, very strange???

I also had a crack at it. Soaked feet as a result, but it was worth the trouble.

From Bedford. Not my best effort! Very difficult to focus even with LV.

My balance between sharpness and noise- I was expecting it to be a little brighter but it was dark!

We had mostly cloudless skies but quite a bit of haze, a flashlight pointed at the sky showed a beam you could almost reach out a grab.

My biggest problem though was the dolt running the camera :)

This one is kind of neat taken during totality.

I have to say - I don't know what all the fuss was about, it didn't look any larger to me than I have seen before, in fact for a super moon it looked smaller, I know it had a reddish colour - but quite disappointing :-(

P.

Same here... ߘ

Steve

playing with the 150-600 with a 2x tele and a 1.4 tele on the 550D, just thought i should have used my wife's 60D, the tilty screen would have made life much easier.
what i also noticed, when the moon is low in the sky it moves really quickly. by the time i was framed and the 10 sec countdown had gone off the moon was well out of frame.
does the same happen when its high in the sky?
